Analytics Dashboard
Monitor your writing velocity, character presence, narrative balance, and production milestones.
Series Analytics
The Analytics Dashboard gives you a data-driven view of your project’s health and balance. It helps you spot imbalances, maintain momentum, and stay on track.
Accessing Analytics
- From the sidebar: click Analytics
- From the Dashboard: click the Analytics quick stat card
- From a series: click the Analytics tab
Writing Velocity
The Writing Velocity chart shows a 30-day trend of your daily output (measured in estimated words based on page updates). This helps you:
- Track whether you’re maintaining a consistent writing habit
- Identify slow periods before they become blocks
- Celebrate productive streaks
The area chart uses your tertiary (orange) accent color with a gradient fill.
Character Presence
The Character Presence bar chart shows how many times each main character appears across your pages. This helps you:
- Ensure your protagonist actually has the most screen time
- Spot neglected supporting characters
- Avoid over-indexing on minor characters
Each character is assigned a unique color. A maximum of 8 characters is shown.
Narrative Balance
The Narrative Balance donut chart breaks down your content into three categories:
- Dialogue — Lines of character dialogue
- Action — Action-oriented content
- Description — Descriptive or narrative prose
This helps you maintain the right emotional rhythm — if your story feels too talky, the chart will show it.
Production Milestones
The Production Milestones section lists upcoming tasks and deliverables with due dates, including:
- Task title and due date
- Task type icon (production, character arc, narrative beat)
- Current status badge
This gives you an at-a-glance view of what’s coming next.
Series-Level Analytics
Analytics are also available within each series detail page (via the Analytics tab). The series-level view shows the same charts filtered to data within that specific series only.
